In 2013, Dash began as a consumer retail app. Our co-founders uncovered an issue in the market: there were no solutions to effectively track the ROI of marketing dollars. Two years later, in the summer of 2015, Dash Social pivoted to a B2B model, working with top brands to deliver insights and analytics to the wonderful people who think in terms of images and numbers.
Fast forward to now, Dash Social continues to launch new solutions that help marketers succeed across both organic and paid social marketing channels. Thomas co-founded Dash Social in 2013 with Tomek. Prior to Dash, Thomas spent seven years investing in technology companies, initially in low-carbon projects with the Government of Nova Scotia, then as a venture capitalist with Innovacorp. While at Innovacorp, Thomas led early-stage software investments. Thomas is a CPA, has an MBA from Dalhousie University, and is a graduate of the American Venture Capital Institute.
Thomas lives in Halifax with his wife Leanne and two girls, Emmy and Isla. He is obsessed with nurturing them as fans of Manchester United. In his spare time, Thomas loves to golf, coach youth soccer, and play chauffeur to his daughters.
Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer
Tomek is a co-founder and CTO at Dash Social. Prior to Dash, Tomek worked for several IT companies and was a co-founder of another startup. He has been coding since he was a child; passionate about technology and the possibilities it creates. He believes that programming is the closest thing to magic. It allows you to create truly amazing things with words alone.
Tomek holds an engineering diploma from Warsaw University of Technology and a Masters in Computer Science from Dalhousie University. In his free time he enjoys building things with his hands, usually working in the backyard.
Chief Financial Officer
Dianne joined Dash Social in 2018 as CFO. Over the last five years, she has built the finance, HR and business intelligence functions. She is passionate about bringing growth strategies to life. Dianne has worked with entrepreneurs most of her career before starting her own accounting company. She is a Certified Professional Accountant with an MBA from Saint Mary’s University.
Dianne lives in Nova Scotia with her husband Jono and two kids. She loves being a hockey and golf mom and enjoys playing soccer herself.
Vice President of Operations
Jill joined Dash Social in June, 2021 as VP Operations and brings 15+ years experience in a variety of disciplines, including: Assurance, Investor Relations, Human Resources, Sustainability and Communications. She leads the People Operations team at Dash Social. A native Haligonian, Jill is a Chartered Accountant, SMU grad, and Chairs the Board of Governors at Armbrae Academy. She is passionate about leadership development and finding strategic ways to help employees learn and grow.
A New York Times Spelling Bee enthusiast and animal lover, she can usually be found juggling all the things with her husband Trevor, two kids Lauren + Alex and her funny farm of pets.
Vice President of Business Strategy and Partnerships
Maggie is a partnerships and strategy leader with over a decade of experience in strategic alliances, product marketing, and sales in social media marketing technology. Since joining Dash Social in 2018, she has built the strategic partnerships team — forging partnerships with global platforms like Meta, TikTok and Pinterest — and successfully launched nearly 20 first-to-market integrations for Dash Social brands. In 2023, Maggie’s role expanded to oversee business strategy where she leads strategic initiatives and planning to support the company’s rapid growth.
Proudly hailing from the island of Newfoundland, catch Maggie practicing watercolour and embroidery or berry picking by the ocean with her husband Ian and their bulldog, Gretchen.
Vice President of Sales
Danica is a sales executive with seven years in MarTech selling across Mid-market and Enterprise business. After spending three years in a marketing agency helping companies across North America create an online brand, Danica joined Dash Social in October 2016 as the second sales rep. In her time at the company, she has risen through the management ranks introducing processes to scale the organization into a leading software company. As Vice President of Sales, Danica designed the deal process end to end: from pipeline generation, new contracts, renewals and expansion — while continuing to optimize for Dash Social's next stage of growth.
Danica lives in Halifax with her husband Nick and two boys: Wellington and Wolfgang. If you don’t find her optimizing the sales funnel, you can find her attempting home DIYs she sees on HGTV.
Executive Director
Gillian joined Dash Social in February 2018 as an Account Executive. She then spent time growing the Product Marketing team and finally made her way to Customer Success where she now serves as VP. Never taking the traditional path, prior to Dash Social, Gillian’s career was spent in the 24/7 radio and television marketing world and the federal government after completing a vocal performance music degree at Acadia University. That background has led to a passion for product, problem-solving for customers and helping her team grow their careers.
Gillian now lives in Halifax with her husband, Mike, their daughter Franny, and their dog Finn. She loves spending time in their vegetable garden, out on the patio, or checking out new books from the local library.
Vice President of Product
Ryan joined Dash Social in August 2021 as VP of Product. Ryan is responsible for the Product Management and Design team and the Dash Social Product Roadmap to ensure we are at the forefront understanding and solving our brands' most urgent problems. With 20+ years experience in the SaaS B2B Data Analytics & Insights domain, Ryan has managed P&L and Product Strategy at several public companies (NYSE:CLVT & LSE:INF).
Ryan lives in the Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia with his wife Aynsley and their two children, Layla and Ezra. Ryan is an avid runner and sports fan and an investor in the local Nova Scotia Craft Beer industry.
Vice President of Engineering
Jessy joined Dash Social in the Spring of 2018 as a Senior Software Developer, bringing a strong technical foundation built over the last 20 years. He has played an integral role in developing the Dash Social product and growing the team. Prior to Dash, Jessy ran his own consulting company for seven years, helping many companies solve technical challenges.
Jessy lives in West Chezzetcook, just outside of Halifax, with his wife Natalie and their two children, Mikael and Mayana. Outside of work you can find him collecting eggs from his chickens and when the season is right, boiling maple syrup or pressing fresh apple cider.
